Ashley-Sleep History
Ashley-Sleep is actually a division of Ashley Furniture which was started back in 1945 by Carlyle Weinberger in Chicago. Originally only specializing in tables and wall systems, by 1970, Carlyle Weinberger invested in Ron Wanek’s Arcadia Furniture to utilize his manufacturing business in Arcadia, Wisconsin. Together, the two businesses became Ashley Furniture in 1976.
By 2009 Ashley HomeStore reached 400 stores and also launched Ashley-Sleep. The next year Ashley HomeStore launched the Hope to Dream program to provide beds to underprivileged children allowing them a good night’s sleep. Today, Ashley HomeStore has reached 1000 HomeStores and Ashley-Sleep offers a wide range of mattresses.
